Wonderful movie. I've seen shorter movies that feel a lot longer than Killers of the Flower Moon. My hunch is people that felt it's too long didn't want to sit through a 3 hour reminder of how terrible this country's history can be. But therein lies the beauty of this movie.

And those who won't watch it because of runtime are just another breed altogether.

The spirt might be strong but the body is weak. But the bladder is small! Even when this movie hits the steaming life, people are still going to pause the movie to empty their bladder, get a snack, answer the phone, whatever. Why not have intermissions? The whole purpose of going to the movie is to enjoy what Marty made. Can Marty hold his bladder through his own movie with a soda in him? 🤷‍♂️

Audiences said the same thing about Titanic, and I just can't believe we've reached a point where 3.5 hours of our lives seems impossible to give to a piece of art.

"It’s special, because Scorsese knows he doesn’t have much time left to make every movie he wants to make, and yet he chose to spend six years making this one. In that sense, I don’t care what the movie is even about. If Scorsese is spending six of his final years on this planet making a movie, the movie is inherently special."

Amen to this. I didn't think any scenes should have been cut, and I've now watched the film several times.
